Ogg Encoder Decoder is an audio convertor will turn MP3, WMA and WAV PCM format files to Ogg Vorbis audio format.
Ogg Vorbis format is a part of Ogg Squish project creating fully opened multimedia system. Ogg Vorbis is an algorithm, which is similar in principle to known MPEG-1 Layer II, MPEG-2 AAC, VQF and others, but it's based on the original mathematical algorithm and uses own psychoacoustics' model. This algorithm is theoretically intended for data compression at all possible bitrates without limitations, in other words from 48 Kbps to 500 Kbps as well as compression using variable bitrate (VBR)*. The Ogg Vorbis sound quality is really incredible. The only drawback is the compression speed.
